If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.
The location of this property is unbeatable.
It is just 50m walk to the Sakka lifts and the bus stops for shuttle buses to other nearby resorts are virtually at the door.
The night demand taxi stops at the door as well. It is very convenient. Nearby within 5 mins walk are a few very nice restaurants if you don’t want to go to Hakuba village.
Since it is so close to the slopes, it is very easy to come back for lunch or rest up through the day.
Our family of 4 stayed in Bear, the 2 BR apartment for 9 nights very recently.
We had lovely views to the slopes.
This property is modern and presented immaculately.
The kitchen is fully functional. We ate out some nights and stayed in some nights.
Beds and quilts very cosy. Drying room and laundry downstairs.
It also has ski/board, clothing, equipment rental. The gear very new. We sorted out all our gear in no time.
Host Taka-San is a very nice man.
He picked us up from Happo bus terminal on arrival and dropped us back off on departure (it was pretty early in the morning).
He took us grocery shopping a couple of times, translated and waited for us to finish and took us back. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
He offered a very personalised experience which we appreciated very much.
We did not have anything negative to say about Hakuba Powder Mountain and would definitely want to stay here again when we return next time.
